Unveiled at CES 2026, the feature uses generative AI to predict how meals may affect glucose levels in real time. Unlike traditional food-logging apps that analyze meals after consumption, Libre Assist allows users to snap a photo or enter a description of their food and receive an instant, color-coded glucose impact rating.

The tool also offers personalized tips to reduce potential glucose spikes and later confirms the outcome using data from Abbott’s FreeStyle Libre CGM sensors. Available at no additional cost within the Libre app, Abbott says Libre Assist aims to provide practical, in-the-moment support for daily diabetes management.
