Nougat is the most used version of Android – New emojis are coming their way in 2018

As per recent reports and updates on Google’s developer portal, Android 7.0 Nougat has been deemed as the most-used and most-preferred version of mobile OS which is currently being operated on 29.5% of smartphone devices in both the versions 7.0 and 7.1.The number actually crosses the Android 6.0 Marshmallow which is still the second-most used version and which stands at 28.5%. And what about the latest Google 8.0 Oreo update which was released in last fall? Experts reveal that the adoption rate is just at 1.1% of Android devices, thereby leaving it at the 6th position.

As long as software updates are concerned, Android devices always suffered from fragmentation. For majority of the phones, the Android version which came in built with the phone when they bought it is always the one that they had throughout. But Android Nougat update is a year older and it is taking the crown for majority of the interesting highlights of this issue.

Android Oreo has climbed past the 1%

People who were excited about Android Oreo can have a small piece of good news where Oreo climbed to more than 1% after lying down at that milestone since the fall. There was in fact a big interval and pause between the launch of Android Nougat and there can be many factors which pushed this version to take the lead. There are many vendors who have taken long months to give upgrades to both their career testing and custom software. You will most probably not see more than 1 or 2 bigger revisions till the time you replace your smartphone.

The New Year is full of new emojis for Android users

There will be a list of superheroes and villains as well who will join the list and different activities like sewing, knitting, lacrosse and skateboarding will also be clearly represented through smilies. As per the release of guidelines by Unicode, software designers like Google and Apple design different versions for their particular platforms and this is the main reason behind the emojis o Android phones looking totally different from that of iPhones.

The new emojis will start appearing on your phones during the latter half of 2018 and you have to update your respective apps in order to get them. Apple will preview its personal version in the month of June and will release them during fall along with its next iOS update. Android is certainly going to release its emojis later on in 2018.
